Friday, November 23rd and Saturday, November 24th the best of the best in the New England Region came together to play for the New England Region Championship title and the opportunity to advance to the National Championship playoffs in Orlando, FL.

The 2007 New England Regional Football Championship games were played at Foley Stadium located in Worcester, MA.

Saturday 11-24-07: Division 1 Final Round
Day 2 of the 2007 AYF New England Regional Football Championship games were played today.  

Jr. Pee Wee Game - The Charlton-Dudley Rams of Central Mass took the field against the Meriden Raiders from Mid CT. Both teams were equally matched as both sides fought for the yardage. The Raiders pulled away from the Rams securing the win with a score of 16 to 12. Click here to view game photos.

Pee Wee Game - Up next was the match between the Charlton-Dudley Rams of Central MA and Meriden Raiders of Mid CT for the Pee Wee Regional Champion title. It was a tough match up on who will dominate the field. Both  offense and defense played a great game. The Meriden Raiders took the title ending the game with Raiders 20 and Rams 12. Jr. Midget - At the Jr. Midget level the Meriden Raiders of Mid CT came out on top over the Westford/Littleton Lions of Central MA with a score of 22 to 0.  Click here to view game photos.

Midget - Ayer/Shirley Broncos faced the Nashua Elks Crusaders in the final game of the day. The Broncos dominated the field on both sides of the ball. The game ended with the Broncos 36 over Nashua Elks Crusaders 0.   Click here to view game photos.

Friday 11-23-07: Division 2 Final Round
2007 AYF New England Regional Football Championship games began today at Foley Stadium in Worcester, MA. Division 2 football began the 3-day long event.

Jr. Pee Wee Game - The Nashua PAL Force of NH faced the  W. Warwick Steelers of RI. Giving credit to both defensive sides, they fought very hard to hold the lines, but in the end W. Warwick Steelers offense pulled it off with the game ending score of W. Warwick Steelers 12 and Nashua PAL Force 6.   Click here to view game photos.

Pee Wee Game - With the Plymouth Huskies of NH dominating the field, S. Attleboro White Hawks of RI defense had their work cut out for them. The White Hawks held strong but could not over come the Huskies offense. The Plymouth Huskies won over the White Hawks with a score of 36 to 6.         Click here to view game photos.

Jr. Midget - A nail biter from the beginning kick-off. The Central Falls Panthers of RI and Southington Knights of Mid CT were both determined to prevail. Both teams were well matched both offensively and defensively. As the whistle blew at the end of the 4th quarter the scoreboard read 13 - 13. The teams met at the 10 yard line for what turned out to be a double overtime. The Central Falls Panthers pulled ahead with a final score of 20 over the Southington Knights 19. Midget - The final Division 2 game of the day was between the W. Warwick Steelers and Manchester Youngsville Hawks. The Steelers took a commanding lead from the beginning of the game. When the 2nd half of the game began the Hawks reminded the Steelers they were there and were not going away quietly. The Steelers ahead by 3 pts the Hawks drive the ball down the field. With 1 second on the clock, the Hawks were unable to get the ball into the end zone. The W. Warwick Steelers win 16 to 13 over Manchester Youngsville Hawks. Sunday 11-18-07: Semi Final Round
2007 AYF New England Regional Semi Final round was played today at 2 different sites. Division 1 played at Stellos Stadium in Nashua, NH while Division 2 played at Veterans Field in New Britain, CT.

12 teams took the field with hopes to advance to the Regional Final round in Worcester, MA.

The following teams will advance to Foley Stadium, Thanksgiving weekend to face their next opponent.

Division 1

     Pee Wee - Meriden Raiders - Mid CT Conference

     Jr. Midget - Meriden Raiders - Mid CT Conference

Division 2 will play on Friday 11-23-07 and Division 1 will play on Saturday 11-24-07. Please make sure to check the Playoff Bracket for game times.

Saturday 11-18-07:
2007 AYF New England Regional Champions announced in the United Midget and Unlimited Weight Divisions.

     Champions:

          United Midget Division - New Britain Pal Raiders

          Unlimited Weight Division - Norwalk Packers

Two regional final games were played today at Brien McMahon Field in Norwalk, CT. All participating teams played a heart fought game.

United Midget Division - The first match up began at 12:00pm between the New Britain Pal Raiders of the Mid Central CT Conference and the Westford-Littleton Lions of Central Mass Conference. New Britain Pal Raiders were the first to score. As the game progressed, it became apparent that New Britain was an over powering foe that the Westford-Littleton Lions was unable to score on. After four quarters of play, the game ended with the New Britain Pal Raiders 40 vs. Westford-Littleton Lions 0. Click here to view game photos.

Unlimited Weight Division - The second match up was between Norwalk Packers of the Candlewood Valley Conference and the Bedford Jaguars of the NHYFSC New Hampshire Conference. Bedford started the scoring with a safety. Norwalk returned the call with a march down the field for a touch-down. Both teams played a great game offensively and defensively with the Norwalk Packers winning 32-2 over the Bedford Jaguars. Click here to view game photos.

The New Britain Pal Raiders and Norwalk Packers will now advance to Orlando, FL to play in the AYF National Championship games.
