Conference Cheer Director Spotlight:Name: Nicole Quinn
Hometown: Salem NH
When did you begin volunteering ?
I began volunteering in 1999 when I was 14 yrs old with the Salem Rams as a student Demo, after cheering for them for 6 years! I was a demo for a few years then became an assistant coach in 2005-2009, winning National Champs in 2006. I had taken 2 seasons off and returned for the 2012 season. I became cheer coordinator in 2014 for the Salem Rams and remained in that position as well as coaching the Div 14 team until the end of the 2017 season, within those years I was successful in winning 5 consecutive years as State and Regional Champions and 2 years consecutive National Champions, as well as the 2017 NH Blue Elite National Champs. 2018 I joined the NHYFSC board as a director and in 2019 was voted in as the cheer coordinator for NHYFSC.
Why do you volunteer ?
Cheer has always been a passion of mine since I was a little kid, there is something about it that just keeps me coming around! Watching the athletes smiles day after day brings joy and brings a overwhelming feeling of accomplishment. I have a lot of knowledge and I enjoy sharing it with coaches and athletes.
What keeps you doing it year after year?
If I had this answer. I keep coming around because my passion for the program is something that is just unexplainable.
Was there anyone person that got you involved?
No, I’ve been around since I was a child and grew very passionate about it and have sense grown into a adult with the same values.
